Season 1 Stats and Rosters

Season 1 Schedule

The Skullsmashers first playoff Appearance

First Playoff Appearance

The Skullsmashers opponent will be the Winnipeg Storm and they did manage to beat them twice this year but this is clearly a different team now beat a very strong Toronto team who in turn put a beat down on the Skullsmashers 31-9 defeat. The Smashers lowest scored points this season..

Skullsmashers lose and panic starts to slowly seep in

Toronto Avenges it's early loss to mighty Skullsmashers by giving them a severe beating 31-9. Skullsmasher fans are starting to worry about there beloved team. Coach Flores says not to panic and he feels that his team can defeat the Portland Demons. The owner's whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Skullsmashers win again by beating the Tulsa Twisters.

The Skullsmashers are surprising alot of people this season but many feel that teams like Orlando and Chicago can beat them. The next matchup is against Toronto and that game was alot closer than what the score indicates so the Coaching staff has got to be on there toes this week because the MapleLeafs dismantled there last opponent.

Skullsmashers get off to a 3-0 start for the first time ever

skullsmshers vs concordes

The Skullsmshers are off to a 3-0 start for the first time in team history. Last year the Skullsmashers we're a streaky team with alot of skidmarks on there undies but they did have some good games on the offensive side of the ball just ask the Las Vegas Wolfpack, Nashville Destroyers, and Ottowa Mapleleafs.

In week 1 they beat the Winnipeg Storm 49-34 and in Week 2 they barely got by there bitter rival Montreal Concordes by five points with a last minute score, and this past week they beat the Toronto Mapleleafs 45-27. The game was alot closer than the game would indicate but the team has not silienced any of it's of it crittics. In week 4 they gotta face the Tulsa Twisters a team that butchered them 24-3.

Many feel that the team will show it's true colors in that game because many feel that this team has not really faced any stiff competition. Tom Flores has this team ready to play and fans are excited for the first time ever.

Smashers win last game to go 6-6

The One of the strangest seasons ever and it could've been alot better. The Owner of the team blames his Coach Tom Flores but since Tom has been out of the spotlight for quite some time. He's gonna give Coach Flores another shot because he feels alot of this stuff can be corrected.

Smashers need a win to even out the season

The rollercoaster ride of a season is almost over. The team has no excuses, they showed signs of being a good team but then they also showed us that they can still ocassionally get blown away. Who knows maybe next year we'll see a more balanced team but only time will tell.

The Skullsmashers destroy the Destroyers 63-17

Skullsmashers are on a 2 game winning streak and looked like offensive machine. Over 500 yards passing and 144 yards rushing. The Skullshashers still need some help stopping the run tho they allowed 160 + plus yards. The Smashers are on a 2 game winning streak and are back at .500. If they keep this up they have a good shot of winning it all. Coach Flores says he's pleased with his teams recent success and as a reward he let his team mingle with the Smasherette Cheerleaders. The game ball went to Butch Armstrong for his outstanding performance. The team has not lost when he's been the starting QB.

The Skullsmashers lose 2 in row

Tom Flores is on the hot seat because he is unable to win a second game in Edmonton. They got blown away by the Miami Admirals 28-9 and this past week got edged out by the Waco Marshalls 13-10. We need some offense and we need it fast said Coach Flores to the press.

The Skullsmashers fall to Tulsa 24-3

The Skullsmashers lose game 2 after what looked to be a promising league debut. Maybe players are now asking to be traded or are asking for new head coach. Tom Flores did not want to comment on that and just said that those are just rumors.

The Skullsmashers are now 1-1.

The Skullsmashers dismember the WolfPack Defense thru the air

The Skullsmashers kill the Las Vegas WolfPack 45-20 and they do it thru the air. Quarterback Butch Armstrong threw for 554 yards and 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. They only had 50 rushing yards on 21 carries but that didn't really matter even tho the first touchdown the Skullsmashers scored was rushing touchdown.

The WolfPack first score came with 1st quarter which kept them within striking distance. The Skullsmashers kept scoring and by haltime they we're up 31-14. The Skullsmashers didn't score on the 4th quarter but they didn't need to. They allowed 93 rushing yards which may or may not be a problem for the team.

The MLF might start December 3rd

The League might kick off December 3rd but all owners need to approve the launch and so far not all owners have chimed in. There is also rumors that it might before the 3rd but there is a little over a week left so it might not become a reality. Skullsmashers say they are ready to rumble. The fans are pumped up as well.

The MLF is getting ready to start up again Stay Tuned

The League is getting ready to kick off and the skullsmashers held there first practice this morning no word on who the head coach will be just yet. That was held under wraps and the press tried to get a sneak peak of what's ahead. Somehow someone got exclusive footage of the team practicing and has threatened to show it to opposing teams if he doesn't get 100 dollars in cash. The Skullsmashers refused to pay the ransom.

Here is the footage of the team practicing as taken by a spy of one of the opposing teams. No word on what team the culprit came from and we don't really know why we are posting it on the Skullsmasher website. We chose to use Exciter's Enemy lines to let the culprit know that he'll be shot if he crosses our enemy line once more.

Tom Flores was named the Skullsmashers coach on January 19 2007

Tom Flores was hired as the new head coach along with Offensive Coordinator Norm Chow and Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan son of Buddy Ryan who is rumored to be interested in the Chicago Wind job. It would be interesting to see if Rob can get a coaching job down the line and see if he can face his father somewhere down the line. Tom Flores steps down from his broadcasting duties with the Raiders and hopes to haul in a few MLF championships before his work is done. Norm Chow is still wondering why he's not a head coach yet but we'll find out if he can work his magic down here in Edmonton as an Offensive Coordinator. The teams front office is pleased with the new additions.
