Team News
Good
way to wrap it up

Week 17 2005
The BlueFOX had a slim 7-5 lead at the half by not allowing the Armegeddon to penetrate there endzone, like a stingy Virgin. The Armageddon themselves played the role of the stingy Virgin by shutting out the BlueFOX in the 2nd half and that is the first time in recent (Possibly ever) memory that they shut out a team in the 2nd half. Offensively they struggled like a nerd trying to score on the head Cheerleader on a Friday afternoon.
Chuck Knoll might be on his way out but it is unknown at this at time. He was seen running out of Thornbird's office weeping uncontrollably so that might've been it for Mr. Knoll but no word out of the Armageddon office as of yet.
Playoff
hopes are lost
The Seadogs won the Trench War

week 16 2005
The Seadogs escape with the win after nearly throwing away the lead in 4th quarter. They managed to squeeze in 6 points towards the end. The Seadogs claim the Division while the Armageddon go home crying to there mommies.
They split wins with every team in the Division but the Seadogs refused to go dutch with the not so mighty Armageddon by beating them 19-13
2
in a row for the Armageddon as they upset The Predators

Week 15 2005
The Armageddon keep there play off hopes alive by upsetting the Boston Predators despite not having John Snyder, Tim Davis, and Outside Linebacker Mark Benjamin, and 2 other players that aren't a major factor so we won't bother mentioning there names. 2nd stringer Anthony Sullivan stepped it up for the team and the defense was absolutely phenominal. That sissy boy runningback Ellerson finally stepped it up and scored 2 touchdowns for the team in there time of need instead of getting injured and sitting a couple of games like he always does. John Snyder is Questionable for the next game but Chuck Knoll decided to sit him out for another game so he can heal better and will instead go with Anthony Sullivan for the next game.
Next week the team comes back home to Seattle to battle for Division Supremacy against The Seattle Seadogs. It'll be one hell of a game Al Michaels and John Madden will broadcast the game in LA because that's how hot this will be.
If the Armageddon can win both of there remaining games they are automatically in the playoffs despite having an 8-8 record. But this next game is a definite must win game for them because even if Seattle loses it's last game and The Armageddon win there last game Seattle will have the Tie Breaker but if it was vice versa there would be alot of confusion because they will both be tied for wins within there divisions 3-3 and if Long Beach can fend off the Saskatchewan Steelers then every team in this division would have beating each other atleast once. Obcourse LA would also have to beat the Seattle Seadogs obcourse.
The
Armageddon get revenge on the Steelers

Week 14 2005
Even tho John Snyder got hurt again, against the same team (I think they paid him off). The Armageddon manage to get out alive with a win and now despite having a 5-8 record they are 1 game behind the Division leader Seattle. One of the strongest divisions last year is clearly the weakest division this year. But even if the Armageddon win the division and go o the play offs it may be curtains for Coach Knoll but that's just rumor right now. When asked about this Coach Knoll told the media that he believes he'll be back next year. The Armageddon barely come out with a 16-12 victory.
But the injuries really piled and it's doubtfull they'll get by Boston. John Snyder will not play and is Doubtfull 2-4 weeks, Linebacker Mark Benjamin is still out for another 4 weeks, Cornerback Demarcus David and Defensive End Koy McDonald are both doubtfull 8-10 weeks, and Safety Tim Davis is out for the rest of the season 12-14 weeks with a ruptured tendon.
Coach Knoll and Thornbird talked to the media and said that they are not turning in the towel just yet. They will give it there best this coming week vs. Boston. Backup Quarterback Anthony Sullivan also spoke to the media and said he feels good about how he played and is predicting an upset for this coming week. The media stood quiet when he made those comments for a brief moment and then laughed uncontrollably for 20 minutes. Afterwards Sullivan rushed out the Press conference crying.
The
Panthers take care of the Armageddon

Week 13 2005
Once again the Armageddon go back to ther losing ways by getting crushed by the Panthers 34-20. Once again the Armageddon had the lead in the 3rd Quarter and managed to let it slip away and once again they we're scoreless in the 4th Quarter.
The
Whalers came to LA and conquered

Week 12 2005
The Armageddon really needed this one and blew it. The Whalers we're just too powerfull they managed to shutout the Armageddon in the first half. The Armageddon and even took a 14 to 10 lead in the 3rd quarter but the Whalers took the lead back and pretty much killed any hopes of a comeback in the 4th quarter.
The
Storm silence there critics by destroying the Armageddon

Week 11 2005
A tough loss to swallow over the hated ones but the Armageddon still can bounce back and win the division. There was no excuses here Snyder was in the game the entire time but Long Beach came out with a mission and revenge was sweet for the Storm.
The
Steelers take back the Division by killing the Armageddon 20-7

Week 9 2005
The Armageddon controlled there own destiny but this loss will definitely set them back. Unfortunately John Snyder got early in the game and it hurt them real bad.
The
Armageddon take the Division lead with last nights Victory
Eugene Moreau leaps for the ball

Week 8 2005
The Armageddon once again emerge victorious against a very tough Fort Worth team. They finally get to .500 for the very first time and take the Division lead at the sametime. Despite all this many crittics are saying that despite them getting Snyder in that trade they are basically the same team they we're last with a few swings here and there. The Defense is weaker but the offense is stronger. Last year it was the eact opposite, if they had last years defense they would definitely be unstopable. Anyway tonights game was all Armageddon once again. They took a 10 point lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

The
Armageddon put out the Storm 36-17

This game should've been won by the Aramgeddon regardless of the trade that took place the previous week so you Armageddon fans should not get your panties all bunched up just yet and you gold diggin women who want QB John Snyder to inject you with his love juice should hold off for a bit. Let me explain why, first off Providence lost to Florida this week, even tho Florida is an extremely good team, it still kinda cheapens the win over Providence last week. Obcourse Long Beach is worst team in the country as of right now. This coming week The Armageddon have to face Fort Worth who are 4-2 this'll be a good for the team I'm sure of it. Certainly the fact that Mr. Snyder has not thrown an interception so far helps out alot.
As for this game with Long Beach the Armageddon did a good job. Coach Knoll was proud of his team and felt that they are making progress and he also feels that they will make the playoffs. Sacks remain a concern, Snyder got sacked 3 times for a loss of 20 yards. Despite all this the Armageddon was pretty much in control of the game. They got one more home game and it's on the road again and hopefully they'll be able to get more wins this time around.

Snyder
answers the call
Can Snyder really be the missing element so far it looks like it

Quarterback John Snyder answered the call tonight against a very tough Patriots team who we're ranked number 10 in the league. Snyder got off to a slow start by going scoreless in the first quarter but managed to score 14 points in the 2nd quarter to go ahead 14-3. But the Patriots wasted no time by answering with a touchdown of there own to close the gap to 4 points before the half. The score was 14-10 in half time and that was all she wrote for the Patriots as they remained scoreless in the 2nd half while the Armageddon scored 10 more points to seal the victory. So things are starting to look up so far for the Armageddon Snyder got off to a slow start but was able to maintain his composer despite getting sacked 6 times in the game which obcourse may be a huge concern since Irv Alexander left the team.
The other player that was aquired in the trade fiasco Tight End Andre Zastudil caught 2 passes for 16 yards and a touchdown. Billy Jackson who went to Wellington did not start for the Cavaliers but Offensive Tackle Irv Alexander had 3 pancakes in his Cavalier debut and Tight end OJ Davis dropped the only pass that was thrown in his direction. Former Armageddon Cornerback Toby Guess had 1 tackle for Johnston this week.

Fan
support on the rise possibly
With Snyder at the helm and the victory over the Patriots fan attendance maybe on the rise

Can Snyder really be the answer the Armageddon have been looking for so far it looks good and more fans showed up for this week's game than last week. 62,061 we're in attendance at tonights game and last week there was a mere 61,925. That's 136 more people than last week. HOLY CRAP I just hope theres still plenty of parking space in the parking lot. The storm come in next week to try and disrupt things so you can bet there will be a rise in attendance for that game especially since they have a heated rivalry going. The Armageddon will sure as hell have there bags full of urine ready for this game.
Another
Devastating defeat 48-10
Shane Falco had his way with the Aramgeddon defense

Week 5 2005
Forget what we said a few weeks ago about the worst loss in history because this loss here takes the cake. Worst home coming ever for the team as the fans watched in disbelief as there team got dismantled. The treches we're cluttered with the Armageddon's dea defense as Shane Falco tore them apart piece by piece. The Armageddon started out good. They scored on there opening drive and they made it look easy as they we're driving down the field. But the Armageddon answered back by scoring 21 points in that same quarter. In the 2nd Quarter the Armageddon managed to score measley field Goal to stay within Striking distance. At the end of the half the score was 28-10 in favor of the Chicago Mayhem.
In the 2nd half Te Armageddon went dry. Going scoreless in the 2nd half and Shane Falco kept tearing up the once mighty and proud Armageddon defense. Folks it was pretty ugly.

Biggest
trade in Armageddon history ![]()
![]()
![]()
Many Armageddon fans criticized the team for making very few moves during the offseason even when
the Team owner himself said that he would make deals during the preseason. Nothing happened and fans we're mad and strated pointing fingers. Fan support went down and the team morale went from high to low. But as the deadline came close the Armageddon pulled the trigger.
This is the deal that makes the Armageddon a proud organization once again or it's the deal that breaks them. The Armageddon decided to trade away Billy Jackson to the Cavaliers along with Tight End OJ Davis (who was obtained in a trade with Birmingham the previous year) and Offensive Tackle Irv Alexander for Quarterback John Snyder. "My hope is that Snyder can turn this franchise around in a hurry" said Chuck Knoll in the press conference this morning. "I like the kid because he can call his own plays" I hated Billy Jackson because he wined alot and didn't fit into our system real well." Some team owners are calling this a very risky move and others declined comment. Thornbird said that he believes this'll make them a better team, "We can't get any worse plus the Division is still up for grabs" said Thornbird. "If things go Haywire we might consider rebuilding the team for next season" said Thornbird.
Immediately following that trade the Armageddon struck another deal with yet another Franchise. The LA Armageddon traded Cornerback Toby Guess to the Johnston flood for a 4th Round pick and tight end Andre Zastudil.
Let the debating begin
Close
but no cigar
Seadogs upset the Armageddon in a close one

Week 4 2005
It looked like the Armageddon had this one sealed but Billy Jackson gave the momentum back to the Seadogs by giving up yet another intercetpion. Coach Knoll knows his team can win he's just trying to find the right formula and thought he had last week. Offensively everything was jelling just great but the defensively this team is struggling. The Seadogs ended up winning despite the fact that they gave up 3 interceptions themselves. Los Angeles took a 24-10 lead in the 3rd quarter and all seemed well in Armageddon land. But within seconds the Seadogs came back with a 85 yard kick returnfor a touchdown by Jake Ward. The score was 24-17 eventually tied it up and with 7 seconds left they kicked a 53 yard field to take the lead for good. Armageddon fans are still searching for answers and none can be found. This team is perfectly healthy and yet they are struggling to get some wins in.
Coach Knoll blames did not like the fact that his team had to play 4 away games in a row and knew this would hurt them. "I don't care the past is the past we got 4 straight games at home now and I'm hoping we can fix all our problems in this homestand. I'm sure the fans will boo us when we get there but oh well if we win they'll forgive and forget" said Mr. Knoll at his post game press conference. Tim Davis was named player of the game. The Armageddon may be coming home but they got a redhot 4-0 Chicago Mayhem team that's hungry for more wins.

The
Offensive Explosion that everyone was waiting for has Arrived
Billy Jackson had all to throw the ball in this game but his interception woes continue.

Week 3 2005
Coach Knoll may have saved his job for the time being with this big win against a very powerfull team. The Armageddon crush the Texas Copperheads in convincing fashion. Coach Knoll hopes this will be the game that takes his team can ride the momentum thru the season. Interceptions are still a major concern for Chuck Knoll cuz his Quarterback has thrown atleast 1 interception in 13 straight games counting last year's playoffs. Billy Jackson only had 3 games last year without throwing an interception. Last year this was not a concern cuz the team easily overcame those interceptions but this year it's a big concern and fans were calling for his head. But tonight (despite the one interception) the night belonged to Billy Jackson as he was named Player of the Game. His best performance yet and Eugene Moreau went back to being himself as he caught 6 catches for 169 yards and Stan Bailey came up as well with 6 receptions as well for 71 yards.
The good news is that the Division is still up for grabs. There is 1 more road game for the Armageddon left and if they can come out of it even, they can still be in very good shape.

The
Armageddon go down again

Despite the heavy rain and threat of a Hurricane coming to shore the Armageddon and The Hammer got it on with the Hammer dealing the fatal blow. Still no answer to this teams offensive struggle and apparently defensive as well. It looked like they we're mounting a comeback in the 3rd quarter but it came short. Penalties halted the drive and The Hammer held on to win the game 21-14. Coach Knoll blames the media for putting alot of pressure on this team. Owner Frank told Knoll that he must get his act together or he's out at the end of the season. Texas will be a tough opponent but if The Armageddon emerge victorious it would definitely lift there spirits up.

The
Armageddon arrive in Orlando

The mighty Armageddon arrived in Orlando early this morning as they get ready to take on the Orlando hammer. On there way down they we're greeted by an angry mob who pelted them with rocks and bricks. No one was seriously injured. Well except for Rookie Cornerback Paul Skoronski who was stoned to death. The angry mob carried him off and burned his useless corpse and ate his remains. Coach Knoll told the media he's listed Day to Day.
New
Stadium nears completion

There we're rumors floating around that a new stadium was gonna be built and obviously sooner or later people we're gonna know about it. The stadium will be located in Whittier California right behind The Armageddon's owner's backyard. Thornbird lives in a pretty crowded neighborhood. Despite the fact that people we're asked to move and there houses we're torn down to itty bitty pieces no one suspected a thing til now. The Armageddon did not plan on playing in this new stadium til next season. But production was sped up once the team's schedule came out because there first 4 games we're away and that gave them some needed time to finish it up before there season opener. They lost there first game of the season so this idea might backfire unless The Armageddon come out this roadtrip alive.
The
Armageddon open up the season with a devastating defeat 21-3

Week 1 2005
The worst loss in Armageddon's history in a shower of upsets thru out the league. The team was heavily favored to win this matchup but failed miserably by only coming up with a desperation field goal to end there scoreless drought in the 3rd quarter. If not for that field goal the team would gone down the drain with a shutout under there belt. The player in Question tonight is Quarterback Billy Jackson who was 23/39 att with 264 yards but 3 interceptions. He had that same problem last season and that is why Coach was thinking of trading him before the season started. No word from Knoll on that situation he has no choice to stick with his guns for right now.

The
Season Opener tonight
Both Thornbird and Coach Knoll are guaranteeing a victory in tonights game. No word from any Hampton coaches or players on this matter they just wanna get out there and play there asses off. They know the odds are against them especially knowing that they got crushed last year in the play-offs by this same team. The Stadium is filling up as we speak so get your tickets cuz this'll show us what this team is made of.
An
unexpected Offensive Showdown Armageddon loses 27-34

Nobody and I do mean nobody expected this from either team. What was supposed to be the Defensive struggle of the century turned out to be just the opposite. The game was pretty much in the Armageddon's hand up until the fourth Quarter when the Armageddon blew a 27-17 lead. The Griffins scored twice to tie it up and the momentum was clear ly on their side. It looked like the game was going into overtime but with 32 seconds left Tony Edgerson the Griffins Cornerback who was player of the game returned an interception for an 87 yard touchdown and that was all she wrote. Coach was not at all heppy with that performance. "I know these games mean nothing but I don't like ending the preseason with a crushing defeat such as this one tonight. It's just bad karma" said Coach Knoll after the game.
More players we're cut Cornerback Roger Kennedy, Outside Linebacker Terry Vogel, Fullback Michael Downey, Tight End Scott Woodson, and Strong Safety Oliver Grant.
Another
Low Scoring Victory for the Armageddon 12-7
Walt Suggs about to get sandwiched by 3 Predator players it was not a pretty site

One more week of preseason and still no answer from the offense. On top of that the Predators racked up the yards on the Armageddon over 356 yards passing in fact. That put them down to number 4 only The Mississippi Cottonmouths, Islip Missiles, and Montreal Voltigeurs are ahead of the pack. Fans are starting to worry but this outing was actually a good one because all the points we're scored by the first stringers and Stan Bailey has been developing into the go to guy he was born to be. Doug Johnson floated right back down to earth so maybe he was a 2 game wonder like the press had suggested. Next week is a true test last years champs The Baltimore who lost there only game to the Armageddon to kick the season off last year.
The Armageddon cut some players they cut Wide Receiver David Covert, last year's 6th round pick Inside linebacker Takeo Hasty and last years last minute pick up Quarterback Cecil Cooper. All 3 players familie's we're seen begging for money on the streets of LA. According to rumors all 3 players we're seen signing autographs for food. Coach Knoll expressed no sympathy and said "they should've played harder if they wanted to keep there jobs"
A
Defensive battle it was and The Armageddon came out winning 13-7

The Armageddon Defense strikes again by
devouring the Bandits offense. So far the Defense looks good but the offense
is of great concern. So far the most impressive player so far is Free Safety
Doug Johnson who never really played last year. If he keeps it up he might becaome
a starter for the team or might just be a 2 game wonder. Wide Recever Eugene
Moreau was dubbed player of the game. He had 4 receptions for 79 yards and some
people thought he had lost a step after returning last week.
The
Armageddon drain the Flood 23-6

Pre Season Week 1
No scoreboard or stats because preseason is pretty much worthless and because we the Associated Press are too lazy to print them for you. All you get is the lowsy screenshot above. Coach Knoll was extremely happy with his teams performance last night. Chuck was also heard yelling at Al Ellerson for getting Injured yet again but not as bad as last year's Injury. As he was being carried out in a stretcher Knoll yelled out "GET THAT PANSY OFF THE FIELD HURRY" while Al was screaming in pain begging for his mommy. Other injuries we're Fullback Michael Downey - Ankle (Sprain) Probable(1-3) and Offensive Tackle Bryant Woodson - Ankle (Hyperextension) Probable(3-5). The defense is looking solid as ever ranking 1 overall so far after Pre Season Week 1 so they basically left off where they we're last year. Offensively tho they we're ranked #21. Bottom line the Flood could not break thru the Dam (The Dam being the Armageddon defense.) one of the new teams this season. Player of the game Free Safety Doug who had 2 interception.
Runningback Jim Davis looked good as he got the ball tonight but is still a risk because he fumbles alot in practice and fumbled the ball in the game. He needs more carries and will definitely get more carries in the next preseason game. "I feel our offense can get better and will get better" Said Coach Knoll.
The
Armageddon Pick up a huge free Agent from Utah

Free safety Tim Davis who was a Utah Warrior last year has just signed a multi million dollar deal with Los Angeles that will certainly fill that empty spot that Roger Nalen left behind. Tim singed a deal 7 years $67.93 million dollars. There is also rumors that the Armageddon are looking for a quarterback but it looks like they will go Billy Jackson again this year if all else fails. In addition the Armageddon have also signed Fullback Michael Downey for 1 year, $255 thousand dollars and Inside Linebacker Matt Elliott has signed a deal with Los Angeles as well for 1 yrs, $280 thousand dollars. Defensive End Koy McDonald has accepted your free agent offer for 5 yrs - $5.82 million dollars. Chuck Knoll said to the media "There should be no excuses we should be on our way now".
The
Armageddon sign there draft picks
The Armageddon seen here practicing in there new practice facility

The Armageddon drafted Inside Linebacker
Dick Franklin From North Carolina in the 1st round, Strong Safety Eric Davis
from Houston in the 3rd round, Free Safety Robert Banks in the 4th from West
Virginia, Wide Receiver Derrick Erickson in the 5th round from Rutgers, Runningback
Jim Davis from Nebraska Omaha in the 6th round, and finally Cornerback Paul
Skoronski from Texas A&M in the 7th round. They wasted no time in signing
all there picks. The mighty Armageddon came up big towards the end of the draft
so now we wait and see if some of this. Word on the street is that they might
be looking for a Quarterback because Chuck Knoll feels Billy Jackson has lost
a step and now regrets not going for a Quarterback on this years draft. Other
than that Mr. Knoll feels that this team will be much better this year.
Chuck
Knoll Stays and The Armageddon grab a Linebacker in the first round
Armageddon selected Inside Linebacker Dick Franklin from North Carolina as there first pic in the draft. He's seen below about to sack the Iowa State Quarterback.

Alot of fans did not like this choice but Chuck Knoll wants to beef up his defense in a hurry despite only losing 1 player and bieng the number 1 defense last year. "I want to see our defense spill more offensive blood" said Knoll. I would like our defense to remain the delegate virgin flower it was last year. "I did not like the fact that Michigan deflowered our defense in the playoffs last year" "This year I will no longer tolerate offensive penetration and our Defense shall remain a virgin as long as I'm coaching this team"said Knoll.
Alot of fans are upset because of the lack of inactivity that has been going on. So far no trade talks have emerged and without a 2nd round draft I think the team is gonna slowly implode with teams beefing up there teams. But Owner Frank says that he has confidence in knoll and they do plan to make some trades and sign free agents in the weeks to come. No comment on what some of those plans are so far and who they plan to pick in the 3rd round.
Rumors
are swirling around that coach Knoll may be fired

Rumors are swirling around all over town that Chucky might be fired. Owner Frank has denied it and so has Mr. Knoll's agent. "We do expect to make some coaching changes but not Chucky, ... He's staying put" said Frank. "We may get rid of our offensive coordinator but that is still undecided as of now..... oops I hope Norm doesn't read this cuz it will devastate him" continued Frank.

Also noted Free Safety Roger Nalen retires he will be huge loss indeed because he was an intricate part of the number 1 ranked defense. Nalen had 113 tackles and 11 sacks and 2 touchdowns.
