Well the 9th season started out with alot of team with good records. The Sharks jumped to a winning record but was struggling to stay above .500 just over the half. Texas had only 1 lost just over halfway thru the season and so did the Outlaws with there Bonecrushing defense. Johnstown came out swinging too and saw a return of there tough defense they had a few years back. The Armageddon got some blood flowin after destroying the tough Flood defense 59-21 even tho they lost the following week they still scored alot of points which led to string of victories and took the division lead away from the Seadogs. The Powerhouse was struggling and barely managed to stay above .500 thru out the season but are lucky they are in a weak division.
The Birmingham Braves and the Texas Copperheads both came out sluggin but still sports columnist and talk show hosts still thought they weren't for real because they had seen this before from both teams. The Texas Copperheads were at 9-3 and Birmingham 11-1 at that point in time.
This year's Alpha Omega will be televised on national television for the very first time. Last years Alpha Omega was watched by many folks for the very first time thru syndication and the ratings we're good enough for a major station to televised. Many folks who heard about the great game could only watch the last ten minutes of the game.
In the End the Great Teams showed there stripes the Armageddon turned it around and beat a Team that proved the crittics wrong because they fought hard until the end.

All of the Games we're blowouts except for one and the teams that we're favored to win won.
2 of the blowout games we're similar the weaker teams came out and jump ahead early but never saw the lead again after the first quarter.
The game Between The Birmingham Braves and the Johnstown Flood had the Flood take a 10-0 lead but just before the first quarter ended The Braves tied it up and scored 17 points in the 2nd quarter and never looked back.
The Game between the Powerhouse and The Outlaws was close at the half 14-10. But the Outlaws never trailed and they made a bigger cushion in the 2nd half and were in cruise control goin to the 4th.
The game between the Whalers and the Griffins was somewhat similar as the Griffins took a 10-7 first quarter lead. The score was tied 17-17 at halftime. But like the Outlaws the Whalers ran away with it in the second half
The Game between the Predators and Armageddon was an exciting game. The first half was a defensive struggle with the Armageddon holding on to a 14-0 halftime lead. But stretched it out to 20-6.
The second half was a little more exciting when the Predators tied it up and narrowed the lead with 20-14 lead.
They scored 20 points in the 3rd Quarter alone to tie it up. There was a strange drive where the Predators kept converting on 3rd down repeatedly (3rd and long on some occassions) that ate alot of time in the 3rd Quarter.
In the 4th Quarter the Predators scored first with another long drive and failed to kick the extra point. The Armageddon got the ball back but failed to get any points. It looked like the momentum was in the favor of the Predators and The Armageddon was gonna go down to the Predators for the first time ever in there post season history. These 2 teams only met once before in the post season with the Armageddon winning 30-16 in the 7th season.
The Predators we're once again moving the ball on The Armageddon in there next possession. The once strong and proud defense was looking like a mediocre one and was starting to be exposed by a weaker Predators team.
The defense as strong as it was had never scored a TD for the Armageddon. But on this drive they intercepted the ball and took it home for TD saving themsleves from disaster. The score was now 26-24 with less than 4 minutes to go. The Predotrs moved down the field a little quicker this time and got inside the Armageddon's 5 yard with first and goal to go.
The Defense finally came up big this time by holding the Predators to a mere field goal. The Armageddon get the ball back with 2:01 remaining with all there timeouts remaining and the score is now 27-29 in favor of the Predators. The Armageddon scored a touchdown to take back the lead 34-29 in just the 3rd play of the drive.
The Predators still had time remaining 41 seconds and they got 1 first down but failed to make another one and that was all she wrote.
Round 2
The first game between the Armageddon and Florida was close in the first quarter it was tied 7-7 and Florida was moving the ball pretty good on strong Armageddon defense. But in the 2nd Quarter the Armageddon took 28-10 lead and never looked back.
The game between the Braves and Outlaws was tied 0-0 after the first quarter of play. At halftime the Braves led 10-0 and broke it wide open in the 2nd half.
It's a little odd and we're starting to see a trend here.
Alpha Omega Bowl 9
The Braves had a chance to tie it up but The Armageddon were forced to kick a field goal and that narrowed the gap down to 4 points. The Braves we're able to hold off Armageddon and got the ball back with plenty of time. But failed to convert and punted the ball. The Armageddon got the ball back with 1:12 remaining and Birmingham could not stop them as you can see in the video below of the Drive that put it away for The Armageddon.
