The last ten minutes of the game can be seen below
The Alpha Omega Bowl looked like blowout with Miami leading at the half 31-3 they scored quickly and made it look like they we're playing a bunch of 5 year old kids. The 2nd half was a completely different story. Both Teams won there conference title games in convincing fashion.
The Whalers took a big 31-3 lead at the half

second screenshot of game
Fort Worth got within 7 points and that's the game starts off. Unfortunately Youtube only lets you have ten minutes max so it starts off at 31-24 Florida with the Lead. I almost didn't record the game because of the losided score but I'm glad I did. I didn't record sound because fraps is a big memory hog and I only got 512mb of ram.
Parental Discretion is advised heh just kidding

Season 8 Recap
Season 8 started off slow with teams like the Armageddon, Birmingham, and last years champ Mexico City losing there first 2 games. Other teams like the Predators and the Powerhouse continued there winning ways. The Predators sturggled a little but they still won games. The most anticipated game of the regular season was the biggest flop of them all. Mexico City met up with Boston in week 5 and while they kept it close for almost 3 quarters Boston pulled away and ended up severely beating them at the end.
Birmingham managed to pull it together and managed to take over the Division lead but many still felt they weren't the real deal because they we're in a weak division full of young teams. That is until they beat the Powerhouse in a close one 24-13. The Voltigeurs and Express still sturggled to win but other teams that joined the league last year we're playing slightly better. The Steelers struggled to get wins but manged to take over the Division Lead. The Flood didn't pick up a win until Week 5 and just barely against a Team that's been sturggling for the past 3 seasons, the Long Beach Storm.
Mexico City made one of the biggest mistakes of them all. They let go of there Quarterback Parick Klemme because they felt there strongpoint was there running game and Patrick was asking for too much Money. He went to the Expansion team Chicago and made them into a good team. This year teams we're able to figure out how to stop the run entirely. The biggest gain all season long was 11 yards and that only happened once and so The Outlaws we're hosed and as a result they we're falling apart. But that would change towards the end. The lack of the run also hurt teams like Texas and Los Angeles.
Teams argued and wanted the league to allow 4 Wide Receiver formations. They hope that this will spread defenses out and allow for better runs. The league said they would think about it and make an official at the end of the regular season.
The new Expansion teams did a little better than last year's expansion teams. Chicago Mayhem, Mississippi Cottonmouths, Waco Rangers, and Seattle Seadogs all entered the league this year. Chicago got off to a 4-1 start and all the rest ironically we're 2-3 after 5 weeks of play.
Early on the picture was not very clear. Some said the Pirates we're sure favorites to take it all but others swore that it would be the Predators and yet others gambled on the Stampede and the Powerhouse. But as the season progressed the picture began getting clearer.
Midseason Montreal was still winless the Predators and Outlaws we're falling apart. Birmingham was barely hanging in there The Powerhouse seem unstoppable and so do the Mayhem and the Steelers.
Towards that final stretch of the regular season Birmingham fell apart and out of the play off picture. Last years champs the Outlaws managed to pull it together and somehow managed to take the division lead by beating the Saskatchewan Steelers and getting the tie breaker. The Steelers themselves started losing games but still managed to make the play offs. Louisville started making a name for itself but it was too late but fans believe that this will carry over into the next season only time will tell.
Play-Offs
The first week had 3 exciting games that the scores don't seem to reflect because the winning teams began to pull away. Like the Outlaws and Whalers Game was close until the fourth Quarter.

4th Quarter
Final Score Florida Whalers 31
Mexico City Outlaws 20
Chicago's Game was also close til halfway thru the 4th quarter and former Outlaw Quarterback wanted revenge on his former team. Killing them early in the season
The Overtime issue
The League decided to stick with the 10 minute overtime quarter instead of goin with the traditional sudden death OT even tho early on there was too many ties. Towards the end it yielded good results so league officials decided to keep it around atleast for another year or two to see what kind of results they get.
Upcoming Season 9
Only 2 teams will enter the league but that may change the league will be restructured yet again and a new play off system will be put in place. The 2 teams are the Brandon Bandits and the Baltimore Griffins. The league will be split into 3 divisions per conference. The playoff system may or may not consist of 6 teams making it to the playoffs.
4 Wide Receiver formations will be introduced and the league hopes that this will open up the run a little. There is also rumors that this league may turn into a farming league for the RMFL league in the future. It will merge with other leagues like the UFL which ran for 33 seasons and play in it's own conference as 1. The league will have 116 teams and it will have a 32 team play off system.
That will be in the distant future and may or not even happen and it will simply be a farm leauge to breed future super star players. The NAFL will continue as planned unless time becomes an issue.
