Alpha Conference

The LA Armageddon got Homefield advantage thru out the playoffs. The Waco Rangers got the number 2 spot. The Whalers was the other Division winner with the 3rd spot and the least talked about team and underrated Saskachewan Steelers get the 4th spot and will have to play away because they failed to win there division and got mauled by the LA Armageddon which would've gave them the edge. First round schedule below for the Alpha Division.

Omega Conference

The Birmingham Braves obtain the #1 spot in the Omega Conference with a 13-3 record. The Pirates edged the Voltigeurs for the 2nd spot by scoring more points. The Voltigeurs get the 3rd spot for winning there and the Flood sneak in to the final spot by breaking a tie with the Outlaws for beating them during the regular season.

Predictions

Round 1

The Armageddon is expected to blow out the Whalers by 2 touchdowns. The media predicts that the Waco Rangers will beat the Steelers by 10 points Despite the fact that the Steelers had the better record. The Birmingham Braves will annihilate the Flood by beating them by 18 points. The Voltigeurs will lose to the Pirates by 10 points.

Round 2

Sportswriters predict it will come down LA Armageddon vs. The Birmingham Braves. The Armageddon will beat Waco by 7 points and Birmingham will beat New Orleans by 10 points.

Round 1 Comments

Only one of the teams I picked to win lost and that was Waco who lost a close on to the Steelers. The LA Armageddon game was much closer than what the score tells us but we we're off by 8 points. The Whalers actually had the lead up until the end of the 3rd quarter and the Armageddon exploded for 21 more points in 4th quarter. The Saskatchewan Steelers shocked the world by beating Rangers and so that prediction was off.

On the Omega side of the wall both teams that we're expected to win did indeed win. Birmingham won by 10 points and played a sloppy game and got 2 really lucky breaks down the stretch. The Flood got robbed when the referrees called 2 bogus penalties on 2 curcial 3rd long stops late in the game only trailing by 10 points. Ultimately tho the turnovers killed them. New Orleans won by 7 but they werre favored to win by 10 points so that one was close.

New Round 2 predictions

The armageddon won the first meeting 38-30 with the Steelers in there own home so it should be no different but this one will be little closer they will only win by 4 points because We feel the Steelers will correct some of there mistakes but the Armageddon will just be too powerfull. The Steelers had the best running this season but The Armageddon is good at stopping the run.

The Braves also won there meeting with New Orleans 35-18 in there own house this season so this one won't be different either. The Braves played pretty sloppy in there last game so that will affect them a little but it won't cost them the game. They will win by 3 points.

WoW we got these all wrong both teams that lost got vengeance on the teams that beat them. The Armageddon lost by 4 points and we had them winning by 4 points how ironic. The Steelers have ended the threat of Armageddon and so the planet is once again safe. The Braves got crushed by New orleans and they had there chances but failed to score with 3 costly interceptions inside field goal range. New Orleans got intercepted a few times but the Braves failed to Capilize.

So now it's down to 2 teams New Orleans a team that was heavily favored to take it all early in the season after smashing a few skulls and slaughtering The Outlaws who we're an unstoppable force last season. Then as the season progressed they got written off for losing some games they shoulda won quite easily.

The other team we're the Steelers who have had a great running game the past few but could only manage one winning season and no one could figure them out. Despite the fact that they kept winning no one really paid much attention to them. When they faced the Armageddon both teams we're undefeated and we're playing for the Divsion lead. That's really the only time sports writers across america really paid attention to them. They lost the game and everybody forgot about them again.

Both teams avenged early losses and these 2 teams met during the regular season and New Orleans won the game. So we are gonna pick the Steelers to win it all this time by 3 points. New Orleans has a tough defense but The Armageddon's defense was tougher. We believe that the Steelers will get there running game going

Alpha Omega Bowl 11

We got the prediction right but the spread this game was the biggest blow out so far in Alpha Omega Bowl history. The game started out as a defensive struggle. The Steelers pretty much had the lead for the entire game. After 1 quarter of play it was 5 to nothing.

The song playing is no place for disgrace by Flotsam Jetsam. We thought it would be the perfect song because New Orleans just crumbled under the pressure and they probably know that it fits them fine. New Orleans becomes the first team to lose back to back Alpha Omega Bowls in the 8 man era. Utah Warriors lost 3 (later became the Cardinals) lost the first 3 Alpha Bowls to 3 different teams. But that was in the traditional 11 man era. New Orleans is tied for the most Alpha Omega Bowl losses with the Cardinals at 3. But in the 8man era they are the only team to have lost more than one AO Bowl.

Game Highlights

Below is the Full season schedule next year teams will have a more traditional schedule division teams will play against each other twice and face off in interconference matchups. It should make for an interesting season. Will the strong teams continue to dominate or will see new champions emerge.

No expansions are scheduled to enter the league so this is the first time in a while that we do not see change for more than 2 seasons.
