Recap
Early on it looked like it could be showdown between the LA Armageddon and Mexico City Outlaws. The Armageddon lost it's first game to the New Orleans Pirates but has not lost any game since then. People feel this team is strong but seem to think that a weak division will do that for you. That first loss in the begining of the season kinda proved the point early. The Armageddon had some strong defensive performances but are still probably a top ten defense and not a top 5.
The Mexico City Outlaws are 11-0 and have allowed the least amount of points 233 thru week 11 compared to the LA Armageddon who have allowed 332 and LA has not played there week matchup yet. The only team that was standing in there way last season might not even make the playoffs because of there slow start. They almost lost to the Braves early in week 7 27-29 and the Armageddon slaughtered the Braves in Week 56-34.
Another interesting comparison which is interesting is that both teams faced off against the Chicago Mayhem and both team won by an 8 point margin. 53-45 in week 9 in for the Armageddon. Then a week later the Outlaws beat them 34-16. This could be the most anticipated matchup the league has ever seen even better than last year's matchup.
Suprise teams this year so far are the Montreal Voltigeurs 7-4 and the Louisville Cardinals 6-5 . Both came out strong but are slowing down a little down the stretch. The Cardinals have a good quarterback and a good defense. Montreal has one of the best defenses. Number 3 on the list with least points allowed. But offensively they are struggling. Even tho they are on top of there own Division by 2 games they are fourth in points scored in there division.
